Creating a shortcut to open a site without using your default browser.

Using Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit and Google Chrome is my default browser. However, when I view many YouTube videos, they are jerky and erratic on full screen, but okay on the default size. The audio remains constant and is fine.
If I go to my youTube home page using Internet Explorer, the videos work fine in any resolution or screen size. Average download broadband speed is around 11 Mb/sec.
What I would like to do is create a desktop shortcut to my YouTube home page so that it opens it using IE9 and ignores Google Chrome completely.
Any ideas please?

i had the same thing for a while.I got aroung it by creating a short cut on my desktop and then made IEmy default browser. Ithen put google crome in my tray at the bottom.

Right click on the desktop and select new > shortcut then when it asks for a location for the shortcut enter the line below exactly

"C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe" https://www.youtube.com/

Click OK

(you can then right click on the shortcut and select rename and change the name of the shortcut to whatever you want if you feel like it)

Thanks mickrog, I thought about that, but Chrome is fine for the majority of the sites I use, it's just YouTube and a couple of other sites that use video (BBC Weather for one) that I want to go to them without making IE9 my default browser.
