Hotmail on iPhone

Just recently my phone has stopped updating my emails. Plus it keeps on popping up a message saying something along the lines of not recognising hotmail server. Then gives options of cancel, proceed and something else.

It's very vague what I've put here, and I'll put exactly what it says on here next time it pops up on my phone. But if anyone knows what it might be then please let me know. Also it seems to pop up the message and i dont receive emails anymore when out and about using 3G. It's only when I come home and use wifi that the emails show on my phone.
