Broadband speed
I'm currently getting a download speed of 0.08 Mbps and an upload speed of 0.45 Mbps as confirmed by BT this afternoon. I'm 1.3km from the exhange , so I'm not expecting anything too quick but I was told when I took the contract that the line could support up 2.88Mbps.
Does this sound like there is a fault with the line, as I thought download speed was supposed to be faster than the upload speed?

So that's not improved it then...
On the same page as you got the connection speeds what does it say under noise margin and line attenuation?
also, do you leave your hub on all the time, or turn it off when not in use, if you turn it off then basically, you shouldn't.... ADSL routers take a few days to sort out the best speed they can handle from the exchange and if you keep turning it off it will never set itself to the optimum speed.

It is looking like it's a line problem, that sort of attenuation figure is very high for 1.3KM from the exchange.
It would be nice to check the same figures with the router plugged into the test socket behind the main socket on the master socket just to make sure it's nothing inside your house causing the problem. (power off the router while changing over then turn it back on and leave it for about 1.5hours if you do test it this way)
