Hi,

I appear to have lost my address bar in IE?

I have a small box at the top that says address but nothing happens when i click it?

I have ticked address bar in the veiw menu?

It is really awkward as i cant type any addresses in and have to put everything in as a google search (using my google toolbar).

Anyone got any idea - I've looked through the options and can find nothing.

Any help would be appreciated.

If you right-click the grey (not on an icon though) area above a page it will give tick options of what you do and don't want displayed.

Hopefully a simple solution.

Not as simple as that!

That is the same as choosing toolbars from the view menu, which i have already done, thankyou for replying though.

Click and drag the small box that says address.  It sounds as though it is just hidden behind other menu items.  Just left click and drag to where you want it.

Just tried it myself, once you drag it to where you want it goto view --> toolbars and check lock the toolbars.  This will prevent the toolbars from being moved accidentally.

Excellent this worked well.

Very many thanks - to begin with it didnt move, but the clue was in your next posting about the locking. It would seem that it had locked itself out. the answer was to unlock it, move it, then lock it again.

It's nice to have it back.

Many thanks again for taking the time to respond.
