Kindle Kwestion

My kindle is registered to my laptop. I also have an iPad which i used when away from home and on which I can log on to my kindle account. I use my iPad on 3G not wireless.
My question is...if I log on to my kindle account on the iPad while away from home, buy a kindle book but then don't go home for a few weeks, when I switch my laptop and kindle on (home is where wifi is) at home, will the book I bought automatically download to my kindle or will it have timed out or something??
I hope this makes sense?!?

That bit doesn't make sense. Your kindle is registered to your account, not to any particular device.

You don't need to go home or switch your laptop on. You can just turn the wifi on on your kindle, connect to any available wifi network (including your own) and the book will be downloaded.

Ah ha,thats interesting rojash.
Seems I've been led up the garden path about it having to be registered to one particular device. It didn't seem quite right to me but I'm such a numpty with technology I didn't question it.
After what you've told me, I'll have a bit of an experiment and see what happens.

I use Kindle on my 'phone and my tablet, when I have used the tablet to get books, I specify on Amazon that I want it on the tablet so that it downloads there, but I can also access it on my phone if required. Books I put on my phone first are still downloadable onto my tablet even after months have passed, so no items don't time out, and when you next open Kindle, it should synch and find any new items which will show in your library, but will not actually be downloaded until you click on them to say you want to do so. That's what I have found anyway, and it works for me :)

I was missing out on the daily deals kindle have, now I won't have to.
