Security message
I've just registered with a large garden supplies website and when I went to log on this message came up..
"Although this page is encrypted, the information you have entered is to be sent over an unencrypted connection and could easily be read by a third party".
(There's the option to cancel or continue)
Is it anything to worry about? I don't shop on the internet very often, I'm a bit paranoid. :)

Actually when the tree man from the council visited about giving me permission to remove trees, he was quite impressed by my mess, he saw a stag beetle which are uncommon in gardens and loved my (deliberate) piles of rotting wood and my plan to leave a long stump of one removed tree.
Morning all...what happened? Did I sleep in 'til April? It's bright, sunny, clear blue sky and no lamp needed to find my way to the scullery. I did sleep a bit better last night, must have been the fresh air.
Jude I don't do anything special in the garden...the biggest, most tedious/tiring job is clearing the cherry tree leaves up off the grass. Leaving them just creates a soggy black blanket and even more bare patches than there already are. I don't get every last leaf, the worms will take some of them down. You can cut down your perennials if you want, I leave some of mine, they look nice if we get a sparkly frost. Mostly nowadays tho' they go black and floppy in these mild wet winters. Like woofy my garden's organised chaos, logs and nettles and hidey holes for wildlife. I haven't seen a stag beetle for years but I find newts curled up under things :)
Birds are busy in the sunshine today!
The bad news is my golden choisya's looking sick, some of it's dying.
Best wishes to Mr S, hope he's up and about soon shaney.

thank you, Jude, I've suddenly realised I'll have to do cards soon too, as it's December tomorrow. Friends abroad all get the same thing, a calendar made up of photos I've taken during the year, but I'll have to do that tonight as the half-price offer finishes tomorrow.
I'd prefer not to have wildlife here, the secutrity light went on last night and I looked out to see if burglars were about when a fox suddenly leapt out of the shrubbery and chased a rat across the lawn :-( Don't dare leave the back door ajar these days.

its one of the advantages of having psycho dogs, we don't get foxes or rats or cats. Hedgehogs, snakes and mice seem unbothered by them, and the bird population seem to look on them as a source of nesting material judging by the old nests that i find.
Today i have just partially rehung a door. i shut the dogs in the living room to get the papers out of the box as usual and when i opened it, it collapsed against me. Further inspection revealed that there had been onlyne screw in the top hinge instead of three and that one had finally succumbed to the struggle. me and my trysty screwdriver leaped into action and all is safe again. This house has got a habit of dumping doors on me, before we had the kitchen done, a kitchen cupboard door did it, then about a year later, the glass shower door did the same thing. i wonder if the house is getting fed up with me?

Good morning all. Still in bed. Too dark to get up yet. Soup sounds lovely Woofy. The only soup I make us tomato. Nothing elaborate. Skin them and bung em in a pan with herbs etc...
Jno this is the earliest I've done my cards for years. Still have to write a few but getting there.
Off to visit my elderly Aunt and Uncle today. Going later on through town so I can have a look at the lights. I'll never grow up will I. ;-)
Hope Mr S us now on the mend Shaney and that all of you a feeling ok. I've just about got used to my left leg 'jip' and accept old age is catching up on me.
On that note I'm getting up now. Laters gaters.

woken up by an aching hip, I must have tweaked a nerve in my sleep or something, but at least it got me up and putting together a calendar, so that's done and ordered in great numbers.
It's probably because I went out for a walk yesterday, in order to see how my toe was healing. That'll teach me to get exercise.
