Atheros Driver programme
I have un installed the above programme. I have been given very useful info on how to retrieve it but I dont know where to get answers to the questions. What is a wireless adapter and how can I find what type it is.Where can I find how many bits there are in my laptop. Its either 32 or 64. I am running Windows 7 Home. Any help would be welcome

IF you've found the correct properties it's here....

That model should have came with 64bit installed.
If you can't figure out which brand of driver to go for just try them all, it won't hurt trying to install the incorrect ones, they just won't install.

Right-click on computer and choose properties
In the middle section it will say either "64 bit operating system" or "32 bit operating system"
If you post the make and model of your laptop it will probably be possible to determine which model of wireless adaptor it is using.
A wireless adaptor it what aloows you to connect wirelessly to your router.

In fact looking at the support page from HP for that laptop, there are only two wireless drivers available, broadcom and Atheros and both the driver packages are suitable for both 32 and 64 bit versions of windows.

So just download both of them for either 64bit or 32bit and try them both .

It is not showing on my list of programmes, but when I try to down load it from the manufacturers site is keeps saying that it is on my computer, Where is it and how do I find it to run. Have just done a system restore and a box tells me that the only removal is this wretched programme' Luckily I cancelled it. But why has my wi-fi stopped working and why is this programme not showing in my list. Thank U 4 UR continued interest
