Does anyone know how to effectively uninstall FLV Community Toolbar? Have googled but they either say to uninstall it in the usual way through the Control Panel (I'm using Vista) but I can't find it; even under a different name or by downloading something else which I'd rather not do; I'm already using AVG and McAffee. Any ideas; it's driving me mad!!

What Browser are you using.?

If it's Firefox you need to look in your Add-Ons. Open Firefox....click Tools>Addons>Extensions and see if the offending item is there.

Incidentally, I note that you have two Anti Virus programmes. You should really get shot of one of them because they will conflict with each other and cause all sorts of problems; including a falure to give your computer the protection required.

Thank you, managed to find a YouTube video that explained how to get rid of it! Yeah, not sure why I've got two, always had AVG then must have got McAffee with something else, I'm not paying for it it being asked to which seems odd!
The Macafee is you will have got isn't the full AV program, it would be the macafee security scan utility which a lot of downloads are now offering as a "free" item included with the download. although it will do no harm and will run alongside your existing antivirus I'd suggest removing it.

Also, be more attentive whenever you install anything so you don't install the optional items that are offered with them

Yes it is the security scan one, will get rid. I know, am usually so careful, don't even know what I downloaded for it to appear!
