My new laptop doesn't have OE. Is there a free version available ? If so, which one do you recommend ?

I'm running Windows 7.

There is no email client shipped as part of Windows 7 (unles the company who sold the PC installed one).

You need Windows Live Mail which is part of Windows Essentials that can be downloaded here.

Hotmail now uses outlook.com as a client.
