Can you turn off junk folder in hotmail, even temporarily?

Is it possible to turn off the junk folder in hotmail? I ask because I sent myself an email from another account and it went into the junk folder.

I wouldn't turn off the junk mail filter. Just go in there and I believe you can mark any genuine mails as "not junk".

The reason I want to turn it off sb is because I'm linking it to forward to my other email address and if something goes into junk then it won't forward. And as it put my own email into junk it means it might happen again.

I think if you label something Not Junk that puts the sender's name on a safe list so further emails from the same person go into your inbox

I don't think so, but you can mark emails as not junk/spam

In addition to marking the email as "not junk", try adding your email address to the contact list/address book.
I'm fairly sure that it will then recognise an email is being sent from someone in the address book and it won't go into the junk box.
