I think I may have a virus, as a page for Norton Security Scan keeps coming up, if I use CHROME or IE.

You can't get rid of it right-clicking, etc. I have to use Control, Alt and Delete and bring up the Task Manager. I have tried using Malwarebytes but this doesn't find the problem.

It isn't debilitating, just a bloody nuisance...anybody got any ideas ?

Hi Mikey. Norton is rubbish.A lot of people on here will soon be telling you the same. Go on to CNET and find a free anti virus one like avg.Just as good and I have no problems with mine.Uninstall norton asap, utter rubbish. Good luck..bestdriver
Well, I disagree completely - we have Norton, we are completely happy with it, it does what it says, and we keep virus-free - each to their own, BD.

Sorry but you both seem to have misunderstood what my query was, which might be my fault in the first place !

I don't have, nor have ever used Norton. I have Kaspersy, which seems to work OK.

Its the annoying Norton pop-up that I am having, which is irritating me somewhat, that I want to get rid of.
Mikey, have you got a pop-up blocker? That might help...

I'm not sure if I do boxtops. How can I tell ?
On my screen there is a drop down menu called Tools, there is an pop-up blocker option on there you can click on
According to what you say it's not a virus, it's a pop up ad, there is a pop up ad blocker for google chrome, called Adblock , google and down load, I have used it for about a Year now and it works pretty well.
