Google mail has been trying to get you to switch to a new format, which I did(accidentally). Is there any way to switch back to the old way? I can't see anything about doing it on Google itself. John
Hi VHG.When I used to click "compose" on Gmail I typed the address at the top of the screen (sort of) Now when I "compose" the bar comes half way DOWN the screen and only along the right hand half of screen.. In the bar it says "new message" and at the right hand end is a minus sign, an arrow pointing to 1 oclock and a X. I,m totally confused and don't like it!!!
They are changing the layout, if you click on the arrow to the right of discard you can go back to the old system but it is only temporary, the new system will be replacing it. I don't know why they can't leave things alone
Yes I hate it when they start messing about with stuff. But John I've kept to the new version of it, (gmail/googlemail) and it is actually better much to my surprise. You might as well try it and start getting used to it. It is easy, honest.
Hi Ladybirder (sign of summer?) I,ll give it another try,PROVIDED the email addresses pop up for the first letter entered,as I can't remember 99% of them! John.
