Has anyone else had problems accessing their hotmail account? Whenever my daughter types in the security code it asks for it just brings up the page to enter her email address and when she does that it gives her a new security code which does the same thing as before. She's going round in circles. Any ideas?

Thanks for the tip but my daughter has a yahoo account that she's happy with. It's just that she has about 90 unread emails on hotmail that she'd like to read and then never bother with hotmail again. I agree it is crappy though.
Well, I work in a library and sometimes staff the public internet terminals. Lots of people have been moaning about hotmail over the last couple of weeks.

Hi, Fatcat

I've had this many times over the last few years, and I've heard the same thing many other times from other people, so it's not just your daughter. I think it's a combination of two things.. 1) The Hotmail website is just very unreliable, and regularly drops out or malfunctions in this way - mainly on Login.. and 2)  You might have a problem with your IE security settings, which some websites can actually reset. Go to "Tools / Internet Options / Security" from the command menu at the top and make sure the slider is set to "Medium". Then click the "Custom Level" button below and make sure the third option (ActiveX controls not marked as 'safe')  is set to 'Disable'. Save those settings, log-out and re-boot and try Hotmail again. But if the website is still not logging you in, you just have to keep trying..!!

've also found by trial and error that lots of other website links to Hotmail just don't work reliably, so to get in I always simply search for 'Hotmail' in Google, then click on the presented "official" link (which is now labelled "MSN Hotmail", and NOT the "Continue" link which takes you straight into the Passport.net" logon). This one always works for me.

Crappy hotmail???? If its so crappy why is it one of the biggest email providers in the world.  Can't be that crappy can it Kev100.
