I have an annoying pop-up page titled serve.bannersdontwork.com.

Most suggest going into control panel/add and remove, I have done this but can't see any programme called bannersdontwork or anything like it.

Has anyone else had this problem and how did you solve it?

I haven't, but if you're on Firefox you can add a pop-up blockers. I often get messages saying "Firefox has blocked a pop-up".

As these often block ads as well I'd better not tell you how to get one but you can doubtless google it. The same is probably true for other browsers.
yes, i had the same problem with you a few days ago. and i search online, and find a post from Teesupport. i followed the steps wrote by them, and i finally succeed removing the popup. there are some steps: 1, Press CTRL+ALT+DEL to Open Task Manager and end all the malicious processes created by serve.bannersdontwork.com. 2, Uninstall from Control Panel.
Open CONTROL PANEL, then ADD/REMOVE PROGRAMS or “Programs and Features”, now look up for LiveSupport and uninstall if it is listed.
3, search all files in your computer and then delete all malicious files.
This is not a normal pop-up, it's malware and, from what I have read, difficult to remove. Some folk have had success with giving their computer a 'run-through' with Malwarebytes, after having done an Anti Virus Scan.

You can download the free edition of Malwarebytes from here :-

Thanks for all your answers, I have an add blocker on FireFox, but that doesn't seem to help.

I have tried the 3 options you suggested krytal-1024, but cannot find anything to delete except a thing called Lucky Leap.

I also have Malwarebytes anti malware installed.
If you look in Control Panel, 'uninstall or change,' you'd see the date that Lucky Leap was installed. If it's the same as when banersdontwork appeared it's probably the one to uninstall
Good thinking sandy. In fact I would be inclined to uninstall anything that bears the same date as any suspicious items. After all, one can always re-download items which are inadvertently removed.
