My wife plays a free game of cards in Playtopia, as from this evening the game will not let her play and she is getting this message: Application blocked by security settings.
The Java security settings have prevented this application from running. You may change this behaviour in the Java Control Panel.

Please can someone help me on theanswerbank, it's my wifes favourite game.

Thankyou for any help.

On what Internet device is your wife playing Free Cell.? If a Laptop/PC is being used then the game is already installed in Windows and there is not any need to play it 'on-line' (Windows 8 excluded)

My wife plays it every morning before breakfast.
Question Author
Alex_Higham, my wife is playing on a laptop windows 7, on Google Chrome, because Internet Explorer is too slow, can't seem to find the Java security settings all the games except Free Cell are working fine.

Thankyou for your help much appreciated.
Sorry I missed your posting last night.

If it is only Freecell that is Not working, I would say that there is nothing wrong with the laptop but the problem is coming from Playtopia.

It appears that you need Java to play certain internet games and, if it is installed on the laptop, it will be found in the Laptop's Control Panel.

Click and have a read of the following link :-

Purely my personal view, all 'on-line' sites, can sometimes be problematic; but issues can often be quickly resolved.

I play Freecell all the time but it came with Windows as a free game, this is standard I thought and no need to play a downloaded version?
Me too Prudes..............
It may depend on what device one is playing the game. Might not be running MS Windows,
Hi O_G.......^^^ Windows 7 on a laptop.:-)

Prudie and Craft.....You are both thinking as I did in my initial reply.

Thankyou to you all much appreciated.
Glad you got it sorted. I couldn't live without Freecell (or Spider Solitaire)
My wife is delighted that I have helped to re-establish Free Cell; as of course I am. Free Cell and Spider Solitaire are the only two games which my wife plays.

Cheers.
Ah Alex, that required me to read more than the OP and catch sight of the latest post when I wandered back in ;-) Yes bad habit of mine I know, I don't always read the whole thread.
Hi again O_G....No probs, I often get the wrong end of the stick and then think myself a fool.........I am now thinking that perhaps I am a stupid arse to sometimes get involved in matters which I know little about, but know how to Google for an answer.

Cheers.... Alex ☺☺☺
