Incoming Emails Getting Stuck .........
2 Answers
Hi folks, wonder if anyone can help please.
I'm on Outlook Express 6 and suddenly my incoming emails are not coming in automatically, I have to "coax" them in manually by clicking on "Send and receive" and it usually takes several attempts before they all update.
I haven't changed any settings and this problem has been going on for over a week now. I'm with Talktalk. Any suggestions why this is happening please?

. . . but Outlook Express is notorious for simply 'forgetting' your settings!
Check that OE6 is configured to automatically look for new mail periodically:

If you find that the settings appear to be correct, try removing the tick alongside 'Check for new messages every __ minute(s)', closing OE6, restarting it and putting the tick back again. I've no idea why that should work but personal experience suggests that it often does!

Thanks Chris! Thought you had solved it, unticked the box and ticked it again for checking for emails every 3 mins, re-started computer but sadly it's still the same. My emails are coming in eventually when I click the send and Receive loads of times but I'm getting fed up with doing this every few minutes. Think I may have to ring TalkTalk :(
