How To Uninstall Norman Malware Cleaner?
2 Answers
I installed Norman Malware Cleaner in Safe Mode to try and get rid of malware. It said "cannot run scan, file is corrupt". So, now I've been trying to uninstall it because it won't work. It is not in add/remove programs list in administrator account or any account. I run computer search, it finds application in administrator account. There is no uninstall action when I right click on it. I open application again, click scan, still is corrupt. I scanned Norman with Avast! Antivirus, no threats found. So, why is it corrupt and why can't I uninstall it? I ran file Delnvc5.exe, it told me that there weren't any Norman applications on my computer. It seems like the more I try to clean the computer of infections, the more it messes up.

Anyway, there's only one malware cleaner that I'd have faith in. It's the one that's recommended (by different people) almost daily on this website. It's also the one recommended by all of the computer magazines, plus BBC technology programs and countless other reliable sources:

(I've never even heard of 'Norman')

It seems that the program wasn't be installed completely. You may need to download the latest version of the software and then install it again. Then try uninstalling it from Control Panel.
If a program doesn't show up in the add/remove programs list, open its program files folder and run its own uninstaller.
If necessary, delete it via the Windows registry (as mentioned in the method of this post:http://wiseuninstaller.com/uninstall-guides/cant-uninstall-pc-activator-complete-removal-guide/). But this is only recommended for advanced computer users. You may need a free removal tool like Revo Uninstaller to remove the problematic program forcibly.
