I have a new laptop with windows 8.1 on it , wireless connection and infinity
from Bt. I still have my old desktop computer with windows xp and I would like to still be able to use this .... It is too far from the router box of tricks to connect by a cable. Any ideas .... I have been told not all things will work with windows 8.1 ?

Meant to add, we run 2 laptops or ipads from one BT router at same time with Wi-Fi, no probs.

I bought one recently, when I had a new router fitted in another part of the house from my desk top PC, which doesn't have a wifi card fitted. It took 5 mins to set up and it works perfectly. I can thoroughly recommend this bit of kit, and its cheap as well !

My pc runs xp is wired to router, use kindle and laptop anywhere in house wirelessly from same router...lappie Windows 8..

The doodah will enable pc to pick up wireless signal !

mikey4444 - ordered part and got it next day !!!! to the north of Scotland great. My daughter installed it and hey presto it worked..... you are a genius
