Wifi Knocks Out My Internet When I Use Laptop

when i put wifi on this new laptop on it cuts out my internet on other laptop even......basically i put wifi on laptop which worked fine at friends house but at mine it cuts out my other laptop and internet stops working...why is it doing that as dont make any sence....
