Hancock never fades naomi ! Anything with Kenneth Williams is also a favourite of mine. Julian and Sandy sounds as good and radical as it did all those years ago.
I remember as a boy in the early 60's, sitting on the floor in front of our huge mains radio and listening to Round the Horn with my little brother. My Gran used to roar with laughter at Julian and Sandy and we laughed as well, although most of the double entendres went over our head of course !
It has been discussed on AB before but thank goodness for the BBC !

Down the Line is one of only a few Radio4/4Extra comedies I just can't get into. If I'm honest, the older the show the better I like it.
carrust - I'm jealous as hell! (I did get to see them though at The Lowry in Salford shortly before Humph died - On the tribute to Humph programme I did spot the back of my head - was on the front row).

A couple of months ago I downloaded radio iplayer on my tablet (& my iphone) and I have surprised myself by how much I have got into radio shows, esp bbc4!! I love it! So much so my husband bought me a set of padded headphones as a birthday present so I can listen comfortably in bed. I go to sleep every night listening to something or other and have really got into the crime dramas!
Its become a ritual now that every Sunday we listen to Hitchhikers guide to the galaxy whilst having breakfast in bed :)
I shall look for "Down the line" and give it ago :)

I can't stand 'Down The Line' but there are old episodes appear on the British Comedy Channel, together with lots of Hancock, Horne, Williams, etc. I usually listen to several hours per day of the BCC's output, typically when I'm posting here.
