Clearing Browser History

I've heard that you must clear browser history to help stop problems wih PC, is this true and if so, how do I do it. I have a PC, laptop and tablet. Thanks for any help.

The main reason that people clear their browser history is to prevent others from seeing what they've been doing. (It doesn't have to be anything 'naughty'. Someone might, for instance, not want their partner to know that they've been looking at websites advertising weekend breaks in Paris, in order not to spoil a surprise for them).

I regularly delete all my browsing history; despite it being unnecessary on a Home Computer, as explained by Buenchico. However, if I were using another Computer, say in a public Library or at work, I would make sure that all Browsing History was cleared;... most important if Bank Transactions have been conducted or Goods bought on line.
