This morning I have been driven to distraction with constant messages from AVG detection saying that a threat has been removed. The threat is JS/FakeCodec which AVG has removed umpteen times this morning.
I have done a full AVG scan and a Malware Bytes scan and yet this message keeps popping up but only when using AB.
Windows 7 Google Chrome.
When I switched to IE the messages stopped nut AB is so slow on there.
Well I'm sorry to disappoint but I'm a bit lost here.
However, as long as AVG is dealing with the problem, I see nothing much to worry about All you need to do is to get rid of the annoying messages that keep telling you about it, which should be possible by simply going into AVG's settings and disabling something within the 'notifications' section.
It must be, so many people have commented. After running the scans and removed the threat I was lucky to get 10 secs without the avg message which Ive not been able to stop. Never had this issue until today...
Many people have said it had stopped but then came back later in the day! Fingers crossed for you and hopefully I can stop it too! Damned infuriating...
