Hi my windows 7 laptop as crashed. I am now running windows vista on a reserve laptop with talktalk broadband as my sp. email is yahoo. Have IE running. I have opened BitComet site and find that I have one green light and one grey light bottom right hand corner, this is telling me that my 'listening port' is blocked. I downloaded instructions and followed them to the letter to open port, but all this does is disconnect my internet connection. telephoned TalkTalk, who as usual were speaking in a mixture of swahili and urdu. They say they are not allowed to access the BitComet site at their end. Can anyone help please? Would really appreciate this have had no probs with previous laptops. Thanks Bob

Its a guess that using BitComet may have brought some malware into your laptop.

Download and run the free edition of Malwarebytes and see what result you get. It may surprise you. However, make sure Not to accept a download trial of the Premium edition and untick all boxes offering things you don't require. :-
