How Do I Install An Email Prog. To Send Pics Please?

I have been sending them with Picasa quite happily for years now but for some weird reason I can't now. When I sign in with my google address and click 'send' it comes up 'no email program, please install email or create an association in the default prog.control panel. I try to do this but nothing happens at all. I did have windows live mail which was o.k. but I seemed to have a lot of problems with my laptop freezing, so I uninstalled it and it has been better. Should I put it back on and try that? I sent some pics from Picasa to my daughter who wanted to send some of them on but couldn't, so she asked me to resend them to her as attachments and that is when the trouble started. :0(
I have windows 7 HP and firefox with google and Yahoo email.

Why don't you register with Dropbox? you simply create a file and drop all your pictures in there. Once they're in, you invite your daughter (by clicking on the folder with a rainbow on it and typing in her email). All very simple.

I will have a look at Dropbox Zacs-Master but I would still like to know what, if anything I have done to mess things up on my laptop. Thank you for replying.
