OMG My start up has become very sloooooow,it can take 3-4 minutes I have tried re-installing but it made no difference. Nothing new has been down loaded.Any ideas anyone?

If you haven't got Malwarebytes then download the free edition and run a threat Scan and see if you have any Pups (Potentially Unwanted Programmes ) or 'nasties'.

Sorry guys to be late in replying,I think my old brain had forgotten I had posted this question.
PC boots up OK it's when I click on my google chrome icon that it's very slow to bring up my google page. Malawarebyyes is on my MSI laptop

I feel the same as Slack Alice about Google Chrome being too invasive.
Get yourself what I think is the best of Browsers...Firefox. Download and then import your Bookmarks from Chrome.

Some help here about 'cookies'. Mine is set to 'remember History'.
Check yours and if your still having a problem, post back.

Think we need someone who knows googlemail better than I do. I do have a gmail email addy, but I just go via their website to access it.
I do not use any remote desktop icon to access gmail.
Only other thing to consider are your AV settings. Look through the options to see if the AV program is blocking 'cookies'.

On opening the Privacy page in Options and seeing a box with 'Remember History' you must click the box for a 'drop-down' menu and then click 'Use Custom Settings for History'. A new page will be revealed on which you will need to ensure that it is set-up the way you require for accepting Cookies.
