As from recent posts you may know we have had a IP change. My wife has a I-Pad and a G Mail account on it. I have managed to set up the Wi Fi connection OK so she is able to use the Internet. However she cannot send or receive mail on it. Have tried unsuccessfully to set it up but failure. Can anyone help me to set up a working mail system .Our new IP is PlusNet

Your IP provider should be nothing to do with who you set your account up with. When you say you've tried unsuccessfully what, exactly, have you done?
Settings/Mail/Add Account and click on Google to put in the details.

Our previous IP was Orange and her IPad servers were set accordingly. Our provider is now PlusNet so assumed that that would have to be her servers address for the WiFi connection.
I would have thought that if your wife has Internet access. it should only be a matter of her signing in to Google Mail with her E/mail address and Password. Normally it is possible to Sign-in from any piece of equipment which has Internet access.

Hans.

on my ipad, it just does it, you go onto settings, mail, add account, then choose other, add mail account and put in your email address and password and the ipad finds it.

She does not have a PlusNet address she uses a GMail address
it shouldn't matter what it is provided its not an address that can only be accessed via a website.

As long as you have Internet access you should just be able to log into Gmail account as you normally would have done when with Orange.

So am I reading these replies correctly that she needs to do nothing her GMail should send/receive as before even though her IP has changed only she said she was unable to send/receive since the change. At 70+ I get so confused so thanks for all your help.
