Hardly ever use WhatsApp, but a friend just sent me a couple of photos. Using a Windows phone, the only relevant option is 'Forward' but it only seems to offer the WhatsApp users on my contacts list.
Is it not possible to forward to anyone else, eg an email address (I tried putting my email addy in but it wasn't recognised)?
If you see the photo is there an option to select it, maybe by leaving your finger on it to bring up a menu, and copy ? If so perhaps you can paste it somewhere where you can do more than just forward. Such as a new e-mail.
Thanks for the replies everyone. As it turns out, photos received via WhatsApp are automatically added to the camera roll without user input, so they can be accessed easily. I know it sounds like a 'Why didn't you check that first?' situation - it's just that I'm used to downloading by using a menu item, never suspected they'd just be added by default.
Now you mention it I seem to recall my Android phone has the received Whatsapp photos in one directory. So it seems reasonable a Windows phone would do the same. :-D
(Mine is starting to hassle me for a Google Wallet payment so I may not have the app much longer. Has been useful but not essential.)
