Does anyone know if PayPal is down ?
I've ordered things on line today from two different sources and I usually get an email straight away to confirm my purchase but I've had nothing .
The transactions went through according to my account .

main course ---lamb tagine , couscous and minted yoghurt ( vegetarian option possible with advance notice)
dessert-----lemon roulade with berries and passionfruit icecream
Heaps of prosecco, and sauvignon blanc and cabernet sauvignon. OH is still nursing a sore head.
All jolly nice, though not specially cheap even though we bought the wine at Costco.
The dining room is about halfway down the garden and stretches right across it - there's a nice paved area between it and the house and a carefully curated jungly area beyond it. There are sliding doors on both sides of it in case it gets cold, and a wood fire at one end. (They closed the jungle doors about 9 lat night.)
I suspect the council doesn't know they're operating a business at home, I think it's a conservation area and not allowed.

No rain here today (yet) which is just as well as I've pegged out, mismatched of course. I decided to freshen up my garden jackets, I'll be needing them soon just to go to the bloomin' bin. Good job I checked the pockets, there was 70p and some dried mealworms in one of them. Bugs and beetles everywhere...I'll probably find my fur trimmed winter coats have got nits next.
ah, this looks like the solution to a biddy's problems

Good morning all, sunny and cool at the moment, but won't last. I had a lovely me day yesterday after we did the shopping. I did my nails, sunbathed, swam and read a magazine. I did marinade some prawns for Mr N to stir fry when he came home which was delicious. We are thinking of having a quiet day today and not going out for lunch as we ate so much when friends were here, don't want to face platefuls of food. I'll be glad when this awful heat dies down, it's been raging hot since May. Was even sweltering hot when we had the deluge!
Hope you are all Ok, glad Picky comes to help you shaney, maybe he could nip over here and help out with our jungle!
There is an old house at the bottom of our lane, which is being renovated and looking really nice, but the funny thing is they are laying sewer pipes but there is no sewer, it is our three houses that have our own soakaway pits. I think I had better tell them before they dig up the whole street (I say street, it's another unmade up mud lane) and if they do that, we'll not be able to drive to our house.
Good luck with the weevils Robi, we are still innundated with food moths, they are everywhere and this time I cannot find the cause! As woofy says I suspect they are nesting in shelf seams. Will have to have a good look. I can't find the cover for the fold up bed, no idea where I've put it, do bed cannpt go back into the shed until it's covered, even thought I do wrap the mattress in polythene.
Just having a cuppa in bed.

Morning all...cool but no wind out there.
I'm up late today, poor sleep again. I did have a quick 3.30am scan for the eevils and only found four or five so I hope I'm winning the war. Thankfully (unlike your horrid moths neti) they're not interested in food, only plants, they don't fly or move quickly, they're easily spotted and very easily drowned. I just drop them in a bowl of water and they don't put up a fight. Good thing I'm not a Buddhist.
This (and 600mg of that thorazine) is the only way I'll get moving today...

Mr N is getting a takeaway chicken and chips for lunch with crusty french stick, oh yummy. Am doing nothing today. Mr N has been up and working at 7.30 every morning in this heat, and then having to amuse guests when he came home, so no pressure on him today, it's only fair, Big relax. Mind you I'll be tearing my hair out by 16hrs and getting a headache!
Morning all...shuttup about winter neti. I'm pleased that it'll be cooler for you soon but it's persisting down here. It was raining at 4am when I went on eevil watch, I caught four and another this morning in the glor...sorry, cubby hole, lol... It had a dreadful limp, probably got an 'algia...it's had all it's problems washed away now. :)
