I have a desktop PC with Windows 7 and using IE11. I know a lot about computers.

I have been helping on AB for years, but it is now becoming unusable and I may give up.

I will be typing an answer and all of a sudden it freezes, then says AB has stopped responding and I lose everything.

All other web sites I use are fine but this is terrible.

Have you perhaps lost one of your main technical people because this has been happening for weeks.

Never had any sort of problem. I'm using Virgin broadband 160mb, and Windows 10, previously 7

I had this exact same problem with IE. I changed to Firefox and all's ok now.
I use Chrome and have never had a problem.
I have the same problem, VHG. I find it worse during the day when using my Samsung tablet. I have to keep restarting the tablet. In the evening, using the laptop, it's not so bad but it does happen.
I use Chrome and get a lot of no access
( but it could be true)
I use cntrl-A and then ctrol-C alot

Same here, changed to Chrome, no problem since

I have got a mac and safari and get no problems
I had that on IE, AB did become unusable. I changed to Chrome on advice from here and everything has been fine since however I said at the time I don't think a site should expect its users to change to a different browser to make it function correctly they should sort it out - I wonder how many shoppers amazon would lose if they were told you can only use this site efficiently on Firefox (for example).
Isn't IE being dumped by windows though?
No Issues VHG.
Hi VHG - I can't seem to get those kind of problems on IE version:

11.0.9600.17914

Does that version match with you?
Ah, I have been able to recreate that - I'll see if I can work out what it is.

It's not a change our end - we've not made any major changes to the back end for a little while. IE may have updated and stopped working with us as well as it used to!
Like Ummm, I use Chrome and haven't encountered any problems.

Well, apart from avatars being beggered up from time to time !
Hey Mikey Balders and I use Chrome too ;-)
I've had this problem a lot recently on AB too.

I know very little about computer working, but use a Windows 7 and have the very same problem each time I am making a reply of any length. It comes up that AB is not responding, and when rectified all text is lost.
ukbod I wondered why an answer had been removed, I couldn't remember who it was but if you did you also not make reference to the severe no-no relating to 'blocks'?
I dont think I said anything other than suggesting a change of browser as a possible solution. Not my style
