Gmx Mail (A Question For Buenchico Perhaps)
I have been using GMX mail for some time now and have overcome most of its quirks. I am especially pleased with the complete absence of junk and spam emails.
I have recently bought a new desktop PC running Windows 7 and successfully installed GMX mail on it.
I have a shortcut icon on my desktop but I cannot seem to either move or copy this icon to the Taskbar.
Is this just not possible - or am I missing something obvious?

I've just been experimenting on my own Windows 7 computer and found that it's not quite as simple as you might hope for. (Unlike shortcuts to programs, you can't simply drag from your desktop to the task bar).
It's not impossible though but I'll need to know which browser you're using and whether you've got a 32-bit or 64-bit version of Windows 7. (That's because you'll need to enter the file path for your browser into a shortcut field).
(BTW: I'm pleased that you like GMX. I love it!)

I typed www.gmx.com in the Firefox address bar, logged in to GMX with my email address and password. Then I highlighted the address in the address bar and dragged it to a new folder that I had created on the desktop.
I then tweaked the desktop folder icon to make the shortcut to GMX mail.
(I have just been through the whole procedure again step by step and when I clicked on the desktop icon it took me to exactly where I want to be. My problem is that I want to be able to do this from the taskbar rather than the desktop. I find navigating to the desktop in Win7 to be a bit of a faff and I would rather be able to open my gmx mail in one click instead of 2 or 3.
(Yes, I know I can do a registry tweak to move the "Show Desktop" from the bottom right corner back to near the Start button (where it should be!) but this shouldn't be necessary (imho) and in any case it doesn't really answer the question.)

The above message should have gone on to read:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Mozilla Firefox\firefox.exe" http:// www.gmx .co.uk/
Followed by a question mark and "Thanks"!

Sorry about that. The quotation marks at the very beginning seem to have got lost somehow!
