Since late last night I've had a lot of trouble connecting to certain websites and I don't know what the problem is.
The sites will not load on any medium I use...for example, I cannot access the BBC website on either my laptop (Firefox), Kindle (Silk) or phone (Chrome) so it's not a browser issue. I also cannot access Twitter using any app or site, it just refuses point blank to load up.
I can access them all fine using mobile data, so I'm assuming it's an internet/modem issue, but it's not all sites that are a problem. I can get on other sites, such as Wikipedia and (naturally!) The Answer Bank without any problems.
I haven't done anything or changed anything with it recently, so does anybody have a clue what the issue might be and how I can resolve it?
I have been having the same problems...some sites will load and some wont. I spoke to my isp and they said that the problem lay with chrome and I should uninstall and reinstall it. I mentioned The Chair's response to your question and bt said that that was not the problem. However, I have done the uninstall/reinstall thingie and the problem is still there.
I am not very teckie so can you tell me,JPA9, how you did it?
I have just been on the chat thing with bt and although the problem was resolved last night.....it has happened again....according to their website the problem with my bband is with the bt retail servers.........I have looked on service status page for businesses and there seems to be a major problem in many parts of the country
