My wife use to play a card game on Playtopia.com called Free-Cell,but since I updated Java she can't get the game to load anymore.
Has anyone any ideas.

Thankyou for any help.

Playtopia requires both Java and Flash Player. To see if they're both showing as 'enabled' click here:
http://www.test-java.com/

If one is showing as missing, go to your list of installed programs and remove it. Then RESTART your computer (IMPORTANT!) before re-installing it.

If they're both showing as 'enabled' try removing Java anyway and then RESTARTING your computer before reinstalling it. (You could also try doing the same for Flash Player but, from your post, it would seem that Java is more likely to be the cause of your problem).

Alternatively (or as well) try a different web browser!
Are you using Chrome? They've stopped support for Java-based plug-ins, as shown here -

I use Firefox & have just accessed the site & game you mention with no problem - your name is top of the high score table, so well done on that!

In case you're unaware, you can have as many browsers as you like, so perhaps give Firefox a try, even if it's just for this?

HTH, if not I'm sure someone will be able to help you further :-)
Thanks, Lie-in-King.

I had a feeling that I'd seen something about one (or more) browsers discontinuing support for something that might be relevant here but I simply couldn't remember exactly what it was. A bit of searching shows that I should read my own posts!

At least my suggestion of trying another browser is still valid, anyway!
On the other hand, if you want to continue to use chrome, there are a number of free FreeCell apps in the Chrome store:
