Not Genuine?
Black screen, message in right hand corner states:
Window is not genuine.
Black Screen
Window 7 7601
I have tried Systems Restore...but doesn't work.
Tried cmd but after inserting slmgr/rearm it tells me i need "elevated privileges" to let me in.
Have Googled "elevated privileges" but far too complicated for sqad.
Any simple answers lads?
P.S Window IS genuine.

As implied/described in my post, one can register it and it seems ok for months until MS suddenly decides to dump on you. Then you get the black screen and claim it (suddenly) isn't genuine. Getting back to the original seller (in my case of the OS) is the way I "fixed" my issue. By the way the OS still works even with the claim and black "wallpaper" background.

Good afternoon Sqad.........It will be interesting to hear what is said by the company from whom you bought the PC.
The more I ponder on the matter, the more I am thinking that you have a copy of Windows 7 which is suspect. Perhaps the same copy has been put into more than one PC.
Have you been offered yet by Microsoft the opportunity to update to Windows 10.? If the answer is No, it could have something to do with your Windows 7 having some form of 'defect' and is therefore unable to accept the offer which comes in the form of an update.
Incidentally, I am Not rushing to up-date to W 10.
Hans.
