Range,(Distance), Of Wi-F Boosters

I have an out-building no more than 20mtrs from the last electrical socket within the house that could do with a Wi-Fi boost. Just wondered whether the meterage range of plug-in Wi-Fi boosters would do it, I realise that some strength would be reduced because of distance involved. The main router is kicking out about 45 mbps wirelessly if that helps. Any suggestions on make and models would be helpful, Many Thanks.
