Broadband Without Paying For Landline, Uk

Hi all, I am about to rent a house in the UK (Weymouth,Dorset) I require broadband but don't need a land line.I'm not worried about superfast, I don't download music/films or play games. No Virgin cable in area. Any suggestions appreciated.

If you can get a good signal at the house you can buy a mobile dongle from any of the mobile phone suppliers, like this:

A dongle might be best for a short-ish length of time, although it may be cheaper in the long run to just rent a phone line from BT.

How long will you be staying at the house ?

Hi, thanks for replies,hc4361/mikey4444 not sure of cost effectiveness of a 'dongle'. long term as I expect to stay for at least 5 years ??
OG, i've not even met the neighbours yet ! also I'd be worried about security using a 'shared' line. Maybe that i'll have to start with BT and then look around for better option ?

Is there a landline in the house? If so, just shop round all the suppliers for the best deal and change after 12 months.

Hi all, managed to sign up with BT for standard bb for £5 month for 12 months (plus the line rental which hopefully will be outlawed soon). Will check again after that.
