I've had three scam calls and reported them after the second to BT - they are fighting a bit of a battle and will have a new product to blacklist such calls without even seeing the incoming number - I presume you enter a code and it will divert....
T237SJ - thank you for your reply.
The email is suggesting I change my password hc4361 so I think we are talking at cross purposes.
ChillDoubt and DT I've been expecting spam calls and/or emails since the yahoo leak was announced, hence my concern.
Now that news of the hack has gone public the scammers will be sending emails and making calls just as happened after the TalkTalk breach.
If it's not addressing you by your full name (not your email address) it's a scam. Even if it is addressed to you by name, play safe and don't click on links. Passwords should be changed by logging onto the official website.
But this particular email may not be genuine, clara.
Passwords should only be changed by going onto your email account or via the official site, not via any links unless you are 100% sure it's from the genuine source.
I guess I was wrong and it is a scam. The interesting thing is, when I click on Buenchico`s link to change my BT password, the boxes are already infilled with my email address and password. Is this the case with anyone else (who is with BT)?
