Connecting The Now Box To Bt Hub
2 Answers
Our Now box had been working fine until yesterday, when it was 'unconnected'. I went to the Now website and it suggested several things, which I tried with not success. Finally, it said, try a reset, which I did. I still can't get it to talk to the BT Hub (ISP is PlusNet). The Hub has a password and a network key. Which is the Now box connection wanting? Neither actually works, it seems.
On screen, it suggested adding the Now Box's MAC address, but when I tried that, it caused chaos on our home network. I managed to put in the addresses for our computers and tablets, but the connection went down every time I tried adding the printer. As the Now box still wouldn't connect, I disabled MAC filtering and got the system back to normal - but still without a Now box.

Factory reset the now TV box - leave it to reset, leave it on and plugged in with TV on.
Go to your BT Home Hub and router - turn them both off at the mains, wait 30 seconds
Turn the power back on to the router
When all the lights are blue on the router (Power, Wireless and Broadband) go back to the Now TV box.
Use the secret wifi screen easter egg ( press home X5 then quickly press FF, Play, Rewind, Play FF, just once each)
When the secret wifi screen is displayed make sure it says Network Ping Disabled.
Go back and then start the configuration process to connect to wifi and then log into your Now TV account.
Of cause it could be a faulty now TV box
