Some Nostalgia Cheer Up!

I have found a wonderful nostalgic website for those of us who of a certain age Hmmm ;) and remember the wonderful radio programmes of the 1950s. There are links on the website for TV and radio and include clips of the old programmes like Wilfred Pickles "Have a Go" also "Children's Favourites" and "Music While you work" plus many others. All precious memories of my childhood with my family in the 1950s. OH and I spent all yesterday afternoon "back in time" listening with delight to many of the clips!

I listen a lot to Radio 4 Extra, and there are always loads of old radio programs, like The Navy Lark, The Men from the Ministry, Round the Horne, (my personal favourite ! ) The Clitheroe Kid, etc, etc

It's a vast repository of old radio programmes. They're mainly American but there are hundreds of editions of The Navy Lark, The Men from the Ministry, etc on there as well. You can choose between streaming them directly to your computer or downloading them as MP3 files.

Abacus British Comedy Radio broadcasts 24-hourt non-stop classic British radio programmes, such as The Navy Lark, The Men from the Ministry, Round the Horne, Hancock's Half Hour, The Clitheroe Kid, etc, as well as some newer content, such as Cabin Pressure and The Castle. They don't publish their schedule but regular listeners soon get to know when certain programmes are likely to appear:

ROK Radio's British Comedy Channel 1 has similar content but from a more diverse range of programming
