Wifi Booster/ Range Extender
5 Answers
Hi all, the signal from out BT hub (which is in the lounge) to the conservatory could be better (the lounge and conservatory are separated by the kitchen), I'm not really that tech savvy but can follow instructions could someone help with a few questions please?
Is a signal booster different to a signal extender? ie does a booster boost from 2 bars to, say, four bars and an extender boost the 2 bars further away?
Could I run more than one device from the booster/ extender ie the TV and laptop?
I think I understand you have to 'log into' the extender/ booster when you are using it further from the hub, does that mean your device will chose the best signal if you are in different parts of the house ie will it pick up the booster in the conservatory and use the hub in the lounge?
Thanks guys, there are probably other questions but this is a good start!

You can opt to log into any WiFi you can detect and have the password for. If your device knows both WiFi chances are it'll pick the strongest. But it depends on the device coding. You can go into settings and override it's choice.
