Doesn't BT?
5 years ago Sky couldn't run fibre optic to my house.
Not sure that is true. Virgin’s cable broadband does not share its cables with other providers and is generally regarded as the fastest but you need cable on your area for that. The usual determining factor of broadband speed is the area you live in. Very little of the uk can get the fastest available fibre to premises service.

BT runs Fibre Optic to a roadside cabinet and then copper cable via phone line to the house.
That is what most providers do.
You could try zen, but as I said above very few providers can do you a genuine ‘fibre all the way’ service. We have sky and it is not the fastest but it’s pretty good for our needs.
I think it is only Virgin that run fibre optic cable all the way to your house.

BT and others have fibre optic to the "green box" in (or near) your street, then a section of copper cable from the green box in (or near) your street to your house.

I get 150mbps from Virgin (and they offer 200mbps and even 300mbps to some places).

You wont get anywhere near that with any other ISP.
As ichkeria says, the composite service you describe will apply to very nearly everywhere in the UK as it is extremely unusual for individual buildings (in the UK) to have their dedicated optical fibre connection. This is, however, not generally known/understood because service providers are (as so often happens here) deliberately opaque in promoting their (composite) service and nobody has yet challenged that situation by insisting that it is made abundantly clear that the optical fibre is somewhere in the vicinity but that the old copper lines complete the circuit between it and the building itself.
The companies which might offer FTTP ('fibre to the premises'), depending upon where you live, include Hyperoptic, Gigaclear, Pure Fibre, TalkTalk Ultra Fibre, Zen, IDNet, Cerberus, Spectrum and KCOM.

Start here:

Enter your postcode for an intial search. Then use the advanced filters to select 'FTTP'. (In practice though it's hardly necessary, as the fastest speeds are listed first anyway). Remember that you'll probably need to be in a major city to be offered FTTP at all. In many parts of the country FTTC is the best that's on offer.
>>> You wont get anywhere near that with any other ISP

Hmmm. That might come as a surprise to those people who get 1Gbps with companies like Gigaclear and Hyperoptic!
