Powerline Clash ??
6 Answers
Hi
I have been using a Devolo powerline system for internet access from my PC (top floor) to my lounge (ground floor) without a problem for a few years. I have just installed the new Virgin Media Tivo 6 box that also requires a powerline system. VM provided a Netgear powerline system with the package in order to get the best from the Tivo 6 box. However, although the Netgear is up and running well, the Devolo keeps dropping out. Could this be a clash betwen the two systems. Any advice/help would be greatly appreciated.

You simply use the same instructions to link the new ones to the old ones or vice versa). In other words, power off both adapters on one pairing and then link them, one by one, to the other pair. It usually involves pushing a button on one of the live pair and then powering on one of the new ones within a short time, or some similar action. The old one sends out a signal, the new one spots it and thinks it's its mum calling and connects to it. Repeat for the other new one.
