Thanks Sqad :) Okay better info for you.
My diabetes is usually really well controlled, I'm virtually always between 4-7, the only time this usually alters is if I'm ill ( had Norovirus once but as you say my blood sugar shot up with that, this seems to just be the other way). Was diagnosed when I was 14, and have pretty much always been very stable. Been headachey, nauseous and vomiting for three days, struggling to even drink water aside from small sips, but sucking ice cubes more or less all the time. I carb count and I'm generally very good at it so my diabetes is not usually much of an issue. My HBAC1 is usually in the 40s. I'm on Novo-rapid for short acting insulin and Lantus for long acting. I've cut the short acting out completely at the moment because I'm not eating and reduced my Lantus by 5, still had two hypos. Really struggling to drink much and managed a small bread roll no butter yesterday, didn't take anything for that as I was on 4.00 and was worried if I vomited I'd be in hypo territory. Feeling sick but not been sick since about 1.00ish, but still feeling very much like I might any minute. Any suggestions gratefully received. Thanks xxx
