Advert Blocking Page

Often when reading local news or as just now when reading Digital Spy a large advert appears covering page without a cross to click on to delete it, this one was for Capital One. How can I stop this happening please?

By downloading an ad blocker.

Which browser? (Internet Explorer? Edge? Firefox? Chrome? Opera? Safari? Dolphin? Avant? Vivaldi? Something else?)

Have you got an ad-blocker installed?

Have you run a malware scan?

I haven't got an ad blocker installed. I use a Kindle Fire.
