Icons On Google Homepage

On my mobile, I use Google search on Chrome.

On the Google homepage there are icons linking to my regularly used websites, like AB.

Two of them have a little blue circle, containing a white tick.
What do they indicate please?

It means the site is downloaded for offline viewing:

I tried the suggested ways, within my limited abilities and couldn't get rid of them.
Suddenly they were gone. Hooray.
