Someone rang me four times on my landline and said my Microsoft account is hacked. He was not very clear and the call got disconnected three times.
In my laptop computer I have McAffee antivirus installed.
I did not give any of my details to the caller as I was not able to understand his fast talk.
I asked him what he wanted me to do as next step. Again the call got disconnected.
No further communication from him.
I am anxious to know if this was a genuine call or some fraudster.
Can anyone please tell me what I should do now?
I am using Windows 10.
I do not do internet/on-line banking.
Treat it as a scam - how can someone know if your account has been hacked? To be on the safe side, log in to your MS account and change the password - make sure it's a strong one comprising numbers, upper and lower case letters, and a couple of symbols such as $, %, etc.
It's a scam 100% guaranteed.
They don't usually ask for bank details; but they try and gain control of your PC and then get you to pay, or you lose everything on your PC.
This is usually done by getting you to click on links and follow the instructions given by the caller.
As has been suggested, it's just a standard scam call. (I seem to be free of them at the moment but I've had hundreds of similar calls over the years). People who've not got Microsoft accounts get them and people who don't even own computers get them. Ignore or report:

I was persuaded by the computer shop assistant to subscribe to antivisus installation when I bought the computer three years ago.
I mentioned it in my question in case it was relevant when I was asking my question of my Microsoft account being hacked by someone.

Of course it was a scam. The game is to keep them on the line paying for the call and wasting their time as long as possible without giving out any information useful to them. Always fail to understand their instructions for doing anything.

To ensure your Microsoft account's safety:
Visit the official Microsoft website directly and sign in.
Check for any suspicious activity or login attempts.
Change your password just to be safe.
