My wife and only she can do this ...

Facebook logged in and working.

Game she plays wants to login via Facebook and Facebook asks for password.

- She has forgot password and not one of the half dozen she has written down.

- Facebook refuses to send a code to her phone via SMS yet number is correct. Groan ...

- She uses mobile phone once in blue moon and has a Nokia phone so no WhatsApp installed.

Facebook as its logged in will not let you change password ' phone number or anything without entering current password.

she can live without game , but once Facebook asks her to login again she is stuffed ...

I have an old IPhone 6 I'm thinking of inserting her SIM card into (GIFGAF) and see if I can install WhatsApp and get a reset that way. But that seems a hassle that I don't think will work.

The old iPhone 6 was connected to vodafone and thus locked to this I think.

All may not be lost.

I've just delved in to the settings on my android phone and under passwords I can see all the apps on my phone and access the stored passwords without logging in again.

Maybe your wife's phone has similar on her phone.  Check out the settings

@barry1010 - phone is a Nokia with Symbian I think it was a called and she doesn't use it to access Facebook. Only used for phone calls and SMS text.

 

but as she accesses Facebook via iPad and it's logged in still maybe iPad has saved password we can see. Weird thing is that when iPad/IOS offers to fill in password box with saved data (aka password) it fails. You can see password it uses also Grrrr

-Facebook has her phone number for resets as;

447952 xxxxxx ...I think the 44 should start with a zero aka 0447952 xxxxxx

we are stuffed then.

To update number we need password and she don't know password.

Did you have any of your wife's old phones sync'ed to another phone or computer, if you go into settings get into saved passwords? There may be an old password sync'ed from other device. Your a sweet husband to be concerned for her :)
