That last question was a stinker.  I failed.

Did anyone get it right?

I've no idea what you're talking about

It's aTV program.

Thanks bednobs

No I didn't which irritated me as I'd done all the rest to  that point without a falter. I was more cross because after seeing a few of thse programmes and how the questions work it was an obvious pattern type to look for and I just didn't see it.

I didn't either, I agree with Prudie. I don't like qns like that as it's not a genuine mathematical sequence

Pleased I'm not the only hopeless failure 😂

what was the question?

I've just seen a suggestion there are two possible answers and I would agree.

Apologies it was the 30% question that had two possible answers.

That was the one about the muddled birthday balloons.

Corby, please remind me what the 30% qn was!

I can only find one, what is the other?

They argue the 6 can be a 9 as the ballons have no strings.

Thanks Corbyloon, I can only see one answer

16:09 I had 26 and 78. I cannot see another. Mathmatically the only combinations of 2 digits that could create a number that is divisible by 3 are (7 and 8) and (7 and 2). A third of 72 is 24 and a third of 27 is too low. That leaves 87 or 78 as the higher number and 78 is divisible by 26 not 62 and a 3rd of 87 is 29 so the answer must be 26 and 78. I may have missed something but I cannot see how there can be another answer.

I got the 30% question and cannot see a second correct answer

16:11 ok so that would be 29 and 87. You'd have to be an Olympic standard contrarian pedant to argue that. All the other numbers are the right way up so it follows the 6 is a 6.

The assumption is the balloon is a, "6" but it could also have been a, "9" which could give the numbers, "29" and "87" which would satisfy the condition.
