TBF this scam was not their fault but I thought a heads up would be useful.

foo ! as someone used to say

The sign of a bank scam is - - - they fall over themselves to be helpful

as one AB punter said: no bank clerk is helpful

If Revolut were responsible they need to cough up.

It's deeply worrying that this was allowed to happen.  I use Revolut to make purchases or get cash out abroad, our family and friends all use the cards as well. Most people I know have a Revolut card.

Is it not known that Banks never ask for PIN numbers over the phone

Question Author

curlyfries: "If Revolut were responsible they need to cough up. " - yes but they weren't it was a pretty standard scam tricking account holders into giving out info later used to steal the dosh. Oddly enough I think there is a law change comming up making it more difficult for banks to blame the customer in these cases.

Wot, a bank with no branches ? No fear of that happening.

If Revolut were responsible they need to cough up.

it is a "push" fraud ( directed by the customer) and the banks bust a gut to say they are not responsible
