The item includes signs to look out for (it was an eye test which revealed my TIA a couple of years ago), so I hope that drawing attention to it reduces the occurences.

Hardly surprising. Most middle aged folk 's blood pressure must be sky high having to put up with the way society has gone over the last few decades.

Hmmm, an interesting hypothesis OG.   And one well worth consideration too. You may well be right, the "nostalgia" groups on Facebook get floods of "not like the old days" complaints.

My local nostalgia groups have the same affliction, selective rose tinted memory 

I'm not surprised at all.  I'm involved in another thread that highlights we simply don't socialise anymore. 

We are governed by smartphones and the Internet, its madness really. 

If I could rewind back 30 to 40 years I would at a heartbeat. 

Was that before you had children, a mortgage, aches and pains associated with ageing and wasn't bombarded with news 24/7, renegade? Young enough to have fun without responsibilities and everything to look forward to
