hello all, last week I bought an item from Superdrug, made by Maybelline.  Its not working as expectd but Superdrug wont refund me. They advised I apply direct to Maybelline.  Its a huge site and although I can find a call number, I would prefer an email address.  (Im choked with the cold and have no voice!)  The amount of info provided has me dizzy. Can anyone find an email address for complaints please?

Can you please expand on "Its not working as expectd"? If it's faulty it's definitely down to Superdrug to refund you.

"If you prefer, you may also send us an email by clicking here." - gets you to -

I'd like to know the problem too - if it's faulty in that it's broken or the top won't come off etc etc then Superdrug should refund you. If it's a more a product not meeting expectations like an anti-ageing cream not transforming you then you have no chance.

Dear lie in king, I saw that bit but could not find the actual place to click. Thanks so much.

I wrote to them and got swift reply - they're too busy to answer right now! But at least I got their correct address.  Many thanks.

If it's not fit for purpose or not as described the shop should refund you.

You have no contract with Maybelline so they are not obligated to refund you.

You can email Maybelline by clinking the link here

As above, Barry 😉

Glad I could help, lynbrown 🙂

As you're getting answers I'd still love to know what the problem is. Maybelline only sell cosmetics so it can't be anything you'd rather not share and Superdrug must know the rules so wondering why they've refused a refund (unless it's similar to I already mentioned or potentially contaminated,  they won't refund on a used lipstick etc unless it was faulty).

If it's faulty it's definitely down to Superdrug to refund you.

some drugs do ( work) some dint

throw it away and start again

You have no contract with Maybelline so they are not obligated to refund you.

and there is this leedol case called Donoghue and Stevenson ( I keep on emailing ed about duff advice)

just in case there is a walk in with  Law O level who says o bloody  hell

If there's one thing that's irritating it's people who ask a question and then can't be bothered mto get back when you ask for further information, necessary to provide the answer.

It is a green cream concealer with small application sponge on top. Only a tiny amount comes out when squeezed on my red cheeks. Whose fault?

Did you twist the red band?

Why do Supwrdrug not think irs faulty.

Maybe it's designed to only give a small application.

Sorry... fat fingers

I've looked on the internet and apparently a little goes a long way. Advice includes applying it with a fingertip.  Have you tried that?  Perhaps that's the reason only a little is dispensed at a time.

This is the brand of concealer that I use.

its like a mini pump, you twist the thick red bit and it brings it up and fills the sponge

Are you doing this:

To open a Maybelline concealer tube, you need to remove a tight plastic seal, then twist the sponge applicator to release the concealer.

Here's a more detailed guide:

Locate and remove the seal:

Place your thumb where the product labeling stops and run your fingernail up the tube to feel where the seal starts.

Try pulling the seal off from the top and move down.

Twist the sponge applicator:

Once the seal is removed, take off the clear oval cap.

Twist the sponge applicator in the direction of the arrows until the concealer is visible on the sponge.

And if you are and it still doen't come out then it's a faulty one and Superdrug need to replace. Lots of reviews show it comes out as it's supposed to.
